Exciting new things are always happening at Schodack and we are thrilled to share some of the fantastic facility additions our campers will experience this summer. Let’s Go Summer 2016!!!!
We completely resurfaced our Street Hockey Court and Junior Camp Playground! These new, state-of-the-art playing surfaces are beautiful and provide for terrific, safe play-ability. The Hockey Court is a 2-year project – after using it this summer we will be taking down the current boards and installing a brand new system for 2017!
Our work in the bunks continued in full force this year and we finished complete, gut-renovations of G5, G6 and B2 (as well as lots of smaller renovations in many other bunks). The new layouts are bright, airy and spacious and our campers and staff love them.
Welcome to Camp Schodack! Yes, we have a newly improved and gorgeous camp entrance – all visitors will be welcomed here and it has already become an iconic spot for pictures!
We did a total upgrade of our Baseball/Softball field including a new backstop, new fenced-in 3rd base line (with bleachers, not pictured), all new red-clay dirt and new infield dimensions. Play Ball!!!
We’ve added a new, super-duty model to our ever-expanding fleet of Scho-Karts. Campers will love to zip around our track in these new whips – they have increased seating room for a super comfy ride.
The Rec Hall, one of the most beloved buildings on camp, has undergone a major facelift. The Tribals Plaques are back up (now in chronological order) and we improved the floorplan to add some square-footage. Lots of history in this room…glad we gave it some love in time for our 60th Reunion!!
