It’s amazing to think we’re already into the final five days of another unforgettable summer at Camp Schodack! We’ve been making the most of the sunshine and enjoying every second we have left at camp, with smiles all around.
Bunk Plaque Night took place on Saturday, and campers were so excited to take to the stage to share their summer memories through their songs and proudly show off their incredible bunk plaques. It’s easy to see why this tradition is one of Schodack’s favorites.
We also loved the LT Show, where everyone cheered and laughed along as our talented LTs showcased their creativity and impressive performances. The show even included a special appearance from Ryan leading a Zumba session, which had everyone in the Playhouse up on their feet!
We’re going to soak up every single moment of these final days and can’t wait to see what they have in store. This time next week, Summer 2026 at Camp Schodack will be a collection of wonderful memories. We have no doubt we’ll finish the summer on a high, with plenty more celebrations still to come.

What an unforgettable week it has been in the Acorn Division! We kicked things off with an incredible Bunk Plaque Night, where campers proudly showed off their creativity and spirit. The Acorn boys transformed into wild animals, Acorn 1 girls rocked the stage as Katy Perry, and Acorn 2 girls brought the world of Zootopia to life with an amazing performance.
The excitement didn’t stop there. In one of the most shocking Tribals fakes in recent memory, Doug’s beloved five-day plaque from 2003 was dramatically Kung Fu kicked in half, leaving campers and staff completely stunned. It was a moment no one will forget!
Trip Day took us to Six Flags, where campers spent the day enjoying thrilling roller coasters, exciting games, delicious food, and making memories with their friends.
Tribals 2026 officially broke this week and has already become one of the most exciting five-day breaks in recent memory. With many beloved past specs returning to help Grant live out the Kung Fu Panda dream, the energy around camp has been electric. Throughout Tribals, the Acorns have embraced every moment, especially new activities like cake decorating, which quickly became a camper favourite.
With so much excitement already behind us, we cannot wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store for the Acorn Division!

Junior Girls
What a fun filled Week 6 we’ve had in the Junior Girls Division! We had an exciting trip to Six Flags, where the girls had an amazing time enjoying the rides and spending time with their friends. We also had our Junior Division Day, which was packed with fun activities including a Colour Run and our Create and Celebrate afternoon. The girls got creative making tote bags, designing their own creations at our bedazzled table and Starbucks station, and enjoying plenty of colouring and crafts!
We also had our first rainy day of the summer, but that didn’t stop the fun! The girls enjoyed a tray flip dance battle and lots of laughs together. We also had lots of Junior Girls take part in Revue this week, showcasing their amazing talents and confidence on stage. Later in the week, we celebrated Bunk Plaque Night, where each bunk brought their creativity and team spirit to the stage.
The Beech Girls had a fantastic week, placing 3rd in Bunk Plaque Night with “Bound to Be Beech.” They also proudly led the Fire Circle walk!
The Cypress Girls wowed us with their Bunk Plaque Night performance of “Defying Sanity” and have been getting creative throughout the week, making lots of fun projects during Arts and Crafts.
The Dogwood Girls had an amazing Bunk Plaque Night performance with “Dogwood Diaries,” earning them 2nd place! They have continued to bring their enthusiasm to all the activities this week, their favorite being gymnastics this week!!
The Hickory Girls had a fantastic week with their Bunk Plaque Night performance of “Holding Onto Hickory” and were thrilled to place in the Cleanliness Cup once again!!
Another amazing week in the Junior Girls Division is complete! We also celebrated breaking the Kung Fu Panda Tribal theme after the LT show, we had an exciting 5 days ahead of us!!
We are soaking in every last moment of Summer 2026!!!

Junior Boys
What an unforgettable few days it has been for the Junior Boys! So many highlights, but BPN and Tribals breaking has got to be at the top. The boys’ hard work during rehearsals definitely paid off, making for an amazing BPN. The excitement carried on long after the performances ended, with celebrations on the JCP afterwards. Sunday was also their division day, where the colour run was the highlight of the day.
The Beech Boys brought fantastic energy to BPN and gave a performance they could be proud of. They also had a blast during the Tribals break, racing around the camp. They are super excited for the Tribals events and had great fun in the pool this afternoon.
The Cypress Boys had plenty to celebrate after a hugely successful BPN performance, taking the Junior Camp win! The bunk was so excited and enjoyed some well-earned celebrations together after all their hard work. They also loved the Tribals break, seeing old and new SPECS!
The Dogwood Boys have continued to make the most of camp life. They especially enjoyed cooling off on the waterslides this morning. After an outstanding BPN performance, they are having a great time in B3.
The Junior Boys are already having a great time at tribals and are looking forward to all the special events coming up in 12123.

Middle Girls
I can’t believe we’ve already reached this point in the summer. It’s hard to believe how quickly these weeks have flown by! We’ve had so much fun together, and with just eight days left, we’re definitely soaking up every moment we have left with our incredible Middle Girls.
This week was another busy one! We kicked things off with our Middle Division Day, where the Middle Girls teamed up with the Middle Boys for a morning of Taskmaster-inspired challenges. There were plenty of laughs as campers took on painting challenges, an egg drop challenge, and even pitched their best ideas in our very own Shark Tank. In the afternoon, it was time for the Middle Girls to slow things down with a relaxing crafts afternoon. Between snacks, music, bedazzling, bracelet making, and spending time together, it was the perfect way to recharge and enjoy each other’s company.
Saturday evening was the final event of Triple Crown – Bunk Plaque Night. It was a fun and emotional evening celebrating each bunk and reflecting on all the memories made this summer. Sequoia’s song, Sequoia Sisters, captured the special bond they’ve built together, Willow’s Willow We Out celebrated an unforgettable summer, Mahogany’s Leaving Our Mahogany Mark reflected on the memories they’ve made and the friendships they’ve built, and Redwood’s Redwood Ride took everyone on a journey through their favourite camp memories. Congratulations to Redwood for taking first place and Mahogany for coming second!
For our final trip day of the summer, we headed to Six Flags! The Middle Girls had an amazing day riding roller coasters, eating plenty of sweets, winning prizes, and of course making Starbucks one of the day’s most popular stops.
Last night, we were blown away by the incredible talent on display at the LT Show. The performances were amazing, and just when we thought the night was over, Po and the Furious Five made a surprise appearance to break Tribals, officially kicking off one of the most exciting five days of camp!
As we head into our final week and five day Tribals begin, we’re looking forward to making even more memories together. We’ll be holding each other a little closer and making the absolute most of every moment we have left in what has been an unforgettable summer.

Middle Boys
Hello!
Second session has been flying by and the middle boys are making the most of every moment! The whole of Middle camp had our division day themed to Taskmaster! We spent the morning taking part in silly challenges such as long distance painting, shark tank, and an egg drop from the climbing tower! Everyone got involved and showed some great creativity and teamwork. In the afternoon the boys split off and we had a handball tournament and some snacks from Dunkin, which went down a treat.
Saturday was Bunk Plaque Night, it was great to see everyone’s hard work pay off. Sequoia boys placed second with “Still Sequoia”, and Willow boys came third with “Willow, Tradition, Spirit”. Redwood boys’ “Redwood on the Run”, and Mahogany boys’ “Mahogany Madness” were also fantastic and had awesome looking plaques. I’m sure the songs made by each bunk will stay with them for a long time and will be sung in future summers to reminisce.
For our final trip day we visited Six Flags Great Escape! Everyone had a great time riding rollercoasters, playing carnival games and having some classic fairground snacks. I think the boys were braver than me on some of the rides. This week Mahogany boys got the chance to lead fire circle with the theme of brotherhood, it was brilliant to see them lead in front of the whole camp, they did so well.
At long last tribals has broken! This time the theme of the break was Kung Fu Panda and saw Tai Lung and his henchmen attempt to break tribals, but he was not worthy so Po fought back and broke it for us. In the well, the spirit of tribals was joined by several previous SPECs, both recent and old, to break tribals in Schodack’s 70th year! Our very own group leaders, Mikey Urbach and Matthew Stashower were picked as generals and their bunks have been supporting them every day!

Senior Girls
Another amazing week has come to a close in the 12123, and it’s hard to believe summer is already winding down! These last few days have been filled with so many special moments, so let’s take a look back at another unforgettable week with the Senior Girls.
Saturday brought the final leg of Triple Crown, Bunk Plaque Night. Every senior bunk created an incredible plaque and rewrote a song celebrating the memories, friendships, and traditions of the summer. Senior One More Time, Senior 2 Good 2 be True, Senior 3 Girls Shabang, and Senior 4 Life were the names of the bunks and they were all amazing and creative to watch and listen to. A huge congratulations to the Senior 3 Girls who placed third in Upper camp! It was such a fun night and the perfect ending to another incredible Triple Crown.
Sunday was one of our last regular days of activities, and everyone made the most of them. Whether they were spending time at their favorite activities such as tennis, volleyball, arts and crafts, cooking, or gymnastics, or simply soaking up every last moment with friends, the Senior Girls embraced every minute and made the most of another beautiful day at camp.
Monday was our final trip day of the summer as we headed to Saratoga! The girls had so much fun exploring the shops, grabbing their favorite snacks, and spending the day together off camp. Two highlights were stopping at Putnam Market for their sandwiches and, of course, the many girls who came back proudly wearing Ben & Jerry’s shirts. It was the perfect way to wrap up an amazing summer of trips.
Tuesday was the two-part LT Show where everyone cheered on their CIT friends and permanents. Following LT show Tribals was officially broken! Camp transformed into the world of Kung Fu Panda an, kicking off five incredible days of friendly competition. The excitement around camp was contagious, and everyone was ready for an unforgettable five-day Tribals.
Wednesday marked the first full day of Tribals with all of the excitement that comes along with it. From Hatchet Hunt and activity periods and finishing the day with the Marathons, camp was filled with energy, spirit, and friendly competition. Everyone is so excited to see what the rest of Tribals has in store.
Even though the summer is beginning to wind down, there is still so much to look forward to before we head home! We can’t wait to see how the rest of Tribals unfolds, followed by some of camp’s most meaningful traditions. From the Relay and Sing to the Burning of the Year, Celebration, and Banquet, there are still so many unforgettable moments ahead. We’re excited to soak up every last second, cheer each other on, and make the most of these final days together.
Thank you for following along with the Senior Girls all summer long. It has been such a special summer, and I can’t believe how quickly these seven weeks have flown by. Before we know it, we’ll all be saying our goodbyes and already counting down the days until Summer 2027. Here’s to finishing the summer strong and making every remaining moment count!

Senior Boys
Wahooooooooo, week 6! This has been a week of big events and great entertainment!
Let me start off with a trip day. We visited the famous Saratoga Springs and senior camp loved living the high life in delicious restaurants, great souvenir shops and clothes stores. All you can eat sushi was a favorite for the boys and the girls loved getting their Ben and Jerry’s t-shirts.
Now onto BPN! This week was so incredibly jam packed, the Senior 1 boys sung the Quad days are over and had everyone in the playhouse grooving. Senior 2 and 3 were so funny, as always, with their massive grins and hilarious lyrics. It was a wholesome Triple Crown night and the quad continued to chant SENIOR BOYS together in support of each other.
Then came Tuesday night, the LT’s rocked the night activity with their LT show. There were jokes, skits, songs, school classmates and so many other clever jokes and ideas that have been brewing since the start of camp. But somehow the LT’s had a rival for the event of the night because we witnessed one of the greatest Tribals Breaks in camp history. Grant told an awesome tale of Kung Fu Panda, the story involved the breaking of Doug’s old plaque and so many more breathtaking moments, including the return of 10, yes 10, Ex SPEC’s.
Then came the first day of tribals and the Senior Boys fell in love with the new activity Corral Chip, their love for golf has been growing and this was such a great addition.
Overall the week has been full of excitement, surprises and camp madness. Exactly what we love.

LTs
The LTs enjoyed an action-packed trip to Montreal – easily the highlight is the Jet Boating on with Saute Moutons on the Lachine Rapids – this really is something that you must do if you are in Montreal in late summer. Bunk Plaque Night was amazing. Both groups performed extremely well, and The CITs won the night with The Waiters second. A truly remarkable set of three performances each over the course of The Triple Crown. Yesterday the First Years were on a Trip Day in Saratoga while the second years were LTing with the younger campers at 6 Flags in Lake George. The LTs produced the most incredible Show for the camp. Linda Krouner performed to Gershwin to start us off before the LTs put on the varied acts that make up the before- and after dinner show. It’s a little unfair to highlight what was a night of highlights, but those who saw Matty Urbach’s drumming, Hayden Krug playing Drops of Jupiter and Ella Weinig playing Mozart’s 2nd Flute concerto will never forget it. Such an incredible night!
Ahead are all the great events that make the ending of a camp summer, notably the LT Banquet at local restaurant Moscatiello’s where we celebrate the year and look back on everything we have achieved together. Oh yeah…and the Challenge Day winners will be revealed. We are very lucky to have spent the summer with this group of LTs.

More From The Week
As always, we’ve been very busy, but a special buzz and excitement spread across camp when Five Day Tribals broke at the Well. Former SPEC legends joined our current SPEC, Grant, as he broke the arrow, signaling the start of five days of competition, tradition, and fun. Our generals, captains, and Head Lieutenants were then announced, and everyone was ecstatic and surprised to see so many camp legends from different decades return for the ceremony. Five-Day Tribals is one of Camp Schodack’s most treasured traditions, bringing the entire camp together through camp spirit, teamwork, and friendly competition.
Our teams, Charge and Green Pulse, have been competing in events to earn points for their teams, including the Hatchet Hunt, Marathons, Carter’s Challenge, and the Track Meet. There’s still plenty to look forward to with Sing, Medleys, and Relay still to come. It’s currently a very close contest, with Charge and Green Pulse neck and neck. We’ll have to see how the final two days affect the overall result!

Ultra Leagues and Intercamps
Ultra Leagues have continued this week, with the semi-finals taking place over the weekend with each division having the Championships are scheduled for tomorrow night or Tuesday for Soccer and Basketball.
On Wednesday evening, we also had a Seniors vs. Waiters basketball game in the Garden. The Waiters came away with the win, but the Senior Boys put on a great performance and made some fantastic shots.
For our Intercamp games, we welcomed Kindering to Schodack for soccer and basketball. The girls’ soccer match went all the way to penalties after finishing in a draw, with Schodack narrowly losing by a single penalty. The boys’ basketball game was just as close, ending 38-36. Everyone played incredibly well, showing excellent teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship.
