Week two at Camp brought sunshine and plenty of action. We wrapped up the first week with a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks show, with campers gathered in their Crazy Creeks by the tennis courts to enjoy the celebration. This week, the art shack has been buzzing as campers dove into tie dye. The Chestnut Girls led our second Fire Circle of the summer, all about teamwork. Our first session ice hockey excursion was a hit, and anticipation is building across camp as two-day Tribals draw closer, with a few epic fakes already keeping everyone on their toes.
We also kicked off the first event of Triple Crown: the highly anticipated Talent Show. Campers across all divisions worked hard on their performances, bringing creativity and spirit to the stage. Now, everyone is looking ahead to the next big event, Lip Sync. The energy and friendly competition continues to grow.

Super Junior Girls
Hi everyone!
What an incredible week it’s been with the Super Junior Girls—I couldn’t be prouder of this amazing group. We kicked things off with Carnival, which was full of laughs, games, and yummy treats.
Talent Show came next, and these girls really brought their creativity to the stage! Oak preformed their version of Love Island, Elm put on an awesome Schodack Night Live, Maple transformed the stage with their favorite fictional characters, and Hawthorn took home first place with their super clever Groundhog Day performance!!! Every bunk brought something special, and the spirit was incredible.
Trip Day included bowling and a movie (either Lilo and Stich or Elio). We wrapped up the week with a special event afternoon featuring Kona Ice truck, a live TV game show, and a fan favorite… drum circle!
Can’t wait to see what next week brings, stay tuned!
Warmly,
Lilly DH
Super Junior Boys
Hi everyone!
The Super Junior Boys had a packed week full of fun activities. Summer 2025 has brought incredible energy, amazing friendships, both new and old, and so many unforgettable memories!
We kicked off the week with a delicious and exciting meal: Chick-fil-A lunch, Camp Schodack style. Campers were thrilled, and of course, the signature sauce made it even better.
The Super Junior Boys had a blast at the Carnival presented by the LTs. Campers loved the games, candy, and all the exciting booths. A big shout-out to the Oak and Maple boys, who warmly welcomed rookies into their bunks before the carnival and made sure they felt right at home.
The Talent Show was a huge hit, and our campers absolutely crushed it on stage. The crowd went wild for every performance, and the energy in the Playhouse was electric. The Oak Boys performed “Dr. Oak” and tied for first place with the Hawthorn Girls, while the Hawthorn Boys placed third with their performance of “The Camp Schodack Weekend Update.” The Elm Boys performed “SpongeBob ElmPants” and the Maple Boys delivered a “Maple Games” skit. All acts were full of creativity and confidence. These are memories the boys will hold onto for years to come. I still reminisce about my own first Triple Crown performance back in 2014, and it is so special to watch this next generation create those same lasting memories.
Many campers also took part in an on-site overnight where they made s’mores and spent a night in tents with their friends. It was a great opportunity for bonding and the boys loved every minute. We also had a whitewater rafting trip, which was packed with fun rapids and teamwork.
We have also kept busy with tons of sports intercamps, including baseball, soccer, and basketball. Also, many boys went to an ice hockey clinic for the first time ever at camp. To top it all off, the Oak Boys won first place in the Cleanliness Cup and the Hawthorn Boys took second.
Trip Day Tuesday brought us to bowling and the movies. Lots of smiles, strikes, and snacks all around. Campers got to choose between Lilo & Stitch and Elio. Wednesday was our Lazy Morning, where some campers got extra rest, others played at the JCP, and many enjoyed the omelet station, bagels, and lox.
It has been such a fun, full week and we can’t wait for even more great memories ahead!
All the best from the 12123,

Middle Girls
Hi everyone!
The middle girls had an awesome week 2 with lots going on here at camp!
This past Sunday was Talent Show where everyone performed so well with dances and skits. The Pine Girls did Camp Alone, a twist on the iconic movie Home Alone and they performed a dance and placed third tying with a middle boy’s bunk.
The Walnut Girls did a skit based on the movie Ready Player One where they were stuck in a video game and they had to try to get back to camp! It was very creative and got a bunch of laughs.
The Spruce Girls performed The Loud House dressing up as all of the characters of the show and also had an amazing dance.
The Sycamore Girls did a camp version of the movie She’s the Man and it was amazing and they placed 2nd!
On Tuesday it was our second trip day to Cooperstown where many of the middle girls went into the baseball hall of fame and shopped around for the day! It was a wonderful day for a trip off camp. There have also been a few Tribals fakes recently with all of the girls wondering when 2 day is coming! Everyone is looking forward to another fun week here at camp!

Middle Boys
Middle Boy Parents,
It was a grand slam week for the middle men! I cannot get over how awesome these kids are—they have all been knocking it out of the park. The boys were hustling hard in the Garden for their Middle Boys pick-up basketball tournament. Don’t worry though—they got to cool off on Thursday with as many flavors as they pleased at the Kona Ice Truck.
All the Middle Boys worked incredibly hard on their talent shows and all deserved a 1st place rating. They seriously all killed it. The Pine Boys came away with the win with a hilarious parody of Ted Lasso. In third place, the Spruce Boys took the spot with a great rendition of Schodack Chopped. The Sycamore Boys gave it their all in saving the camp with their version of Avengers: Endgame—they deserved the podium.
We got right back on the base path as Middle Camp made their way to Cooperstown to walk around and check out the Hall of Fame. I cannot wait to catch you all up in the 3rd inning (3rd week).
The saga unfolds with even more to discover!

Super Seniors
It has been such an exciting week for the Super Seniors!
Starting off strong, Sunday was an electrifying night for the Super Seniors. Both bunks put on incredible talent shows, and the Super Senior Boys took first place at the end of a highly competitive night of skits and talent, and made the Super Senior division proud.
The next morning, we headed out to Lake Placid for our first big overnight of the summer! We started off at Mount Jo, where we took a long and rewarding hike! After taking in the views, we headed to the hotel, and then went out for a nice pizza dinner at Mr. Mikes, followed by an ice cream party! The next day, we visited the Olympic Center, and learned all about the Winter Olympics, and saw some skaters training for the upcoming olympics! We then headed into town for some shopping and eating, and finally visited the US Luge training facility. We learned the basics and everyone took a turn on the ice!
The Super Seniors had such an eventful and exciting week here at camp! See you next week!
With love from the 12123,
Mae DH
LTs
The LTs have enjoyed a very busy seven days and, at time of writing, are enjoying their day trip to that time-st00d-still style of town, Saratoga Springs. Since my last letter, the LTs were entirely responsible for the set-up, execution and then clean-up of the first Carnival. LTs ran all the booths as the entire camp enjoyed themselves for two hours on a highly successful Rookie Day. We will be putting on a second Carnival later in the month. This will include the famed Afternoon at the Races. The LTs, the very next day, put on tremendous performances in Talent Show. The Waiters with 21 Jump Street and the CITs with Stranger Things. The voting didn’t go either of their ways on this occasion – a very funny Super Senior Boys skit taking the palm – but both groups were very sporting and handled their disappointments very well.
With no time to think the LTs then had their second Challenge Day – a real whodunnit murder mystery – on Monday. It looks like it’s going to be a close and hard-fought competition all the way. Tuesday as usual was trip day and this saw us at the movies to see F1 and feasting on Chipotle and Panera. Either side of this, our LTs spent a night each at an amazing Air B and B – some great CIT and Waiter bonding while digesting the delights of a full-on My Place banquet! Wow! Wednesday at ‘the Spa’ was well earned before we will have been back LTing yesterday and looking forward to the visit of Hope 7 today. There are big all-camp events which seem likely to take place very soon, and then another action-packed week in the lead up to Visiting Day.

More From The Week
This week was packed with special events and exciting adventures across camp. The Junior Boys headed out on an overnight camping trip and Trip Day was a hit for every division. Middle Camp explored the legendary baseball town of Cooperstown, Juniors went bowling, and the Super Juniors enjoyed a fun trip to the movies.
The Super Seniors took things up a notch with an unforgettable trip to Lake Placid. Back at camp, Rocketry launched its first rockets of the summer from the Dip. Thursday’s Special Event Afternoon brought plenty of surprises. Kona Ice rolled in and campers got to pour their own colorful syrup flavors, followed by a visit from Hollyrock Entertainment, who transformed the Playhouse into a live TV-style game show arena.
Ultra Leagues and Intercamps
Our 3rd and 4th grade girls headed to Camp Scatico for a soccer tournament and had an awesome showing—winning one game 2–1 and narrowly dropping the other 4–6. The team played with great energy on both offense and defense and had a blast throughout the day.
Also at Scatico, a group of our girls competed in a gymnastics intercamp and earned 4th place overall as a team! Several gymnasts brought home individual awards, including a few 1st place finishes—a fantastic accomplishment!
Back at home, we hosted Camp Winadu for 5th and 6th grade soccer, basketball, and baseball. Soccer and basketball were hard-fought and close, while our baseball team came away with a big 8–2 win!
We also welcomed Camp Greylock for competitive 3rd and 4th grade boys’ soccer and basketball games. All teams played with strong spirit, skill, and sportsmanship, and we’re proud of the effort our campers showed across the board!
Talent Show and LT Carnival
The first event of Triple Crown, the Talent Show, was a camp wide highlight this week. Acts from every division brought creativity, energy, and lots of hard work to the stage. After an unforgettable night of performances, the Pine Boys took the win for Middle Camp, the Super Senior Boys won for Upper Camp, and in the Junior Division, it was a tie between the Hawthorn Girls and the Oak Boys.
Earlier in the week, the LT Carnival brought fun to camp. Everyone got to enjoy cotton candy and snow cones, and the LTs set up and ran a wide variety of booths that kept the whole camp and rookies entertained. From sock wrestling and face painting to cookie decorating, a waterslide, a fizzy drink bar, caricature drawing, and more, it was a huge success.
Scoop Of The Week
And that’s a wrap on the second week at Camp Schodack! We’ll be back next Friday with more stories, highlights, and moments from Week Three.
