Week Two of Summer 2026 here at Schodack has been full of excitement, sunshine, spirit, and laughs! So many incredible memories have already been made, and we still have plenty more to look forward to in the coming weeks.
We kicked off the week with our Fourth of July celebrations, where everybody dressed in red, white, and blue from head to toe with sunglasses, socks, necklaces, face gems, and more. The celebrations carried into the evening with an amazing fireworks display as we all gathered by the tennis courts to admire the fireworks while enjoying our special Fourth of July cookies.
Triple Crown officially began with the Talent Show on Sunday, keeping us entertained from the afternoon into the evening with amazing performances from all campers!

Acorns
This week has been filled with so many amazing memories and moments. The acorns are making the most of what camp has to offer. Experiencing their first triple crown event and watching all the amazing tribals fakes, as well as trip days and special events. The acorns are soaking up all the magic of Schodack.
Acorn boys had a blast at talent show with their Scooby Doo dance- a prequel to the amazing waiter skit! They were showing off all their red, white, and blue at the 4th of July fireworks where the special red, white, and blue sugar cookies were definitely a favorite! Harlem Wizards came to Schodack and the acorn boys were obsessed! So much dancing and cheering, I think a lot of future basketball stars were inspired that afternoon!
Acorn 1 girls have become Schodack’s newest entrepreneurs! Opening a phenomenally successful rainbow loom bracelet shop on the G4 patio! At talent show the girls had all eyes on them with their adorable dance to Circus by Brittany Spears.
Acorn 2 girls are determined to claim back the cleanliness cup with a spotless bunk everyday! They turned their bunk into a dance floor hosting the acorn 1 girls for a spontaneous dance party building bonds and friendship across the whole division!
It’s a great time to be an Acorn at Camp Schodack!!

Junior Girls
Another fantastic week in the 12123! We kicked things off with some exciting intercamps before an amazing talent show filled with impressive performances from all the girls. We also had a great trip day to the movies and bowling, a few fake tribal breaks, and a surprise visit from the Harlem Wizards!
Here’s what each bunk has been up to this week:
Beech Girls: The Beech Girls have been racing around Schokarts, working hard to earn their Schokarts licenses, and celebrated Chloe BC’s birthday together!
Cypress Girls: The Cypress Girls have been busy cooking with Drew and Miriam, making delicious tiramisu and homemade pasta. Some of the Cypress Girls also had a great time attending an overnight.
Dogwood Girls: The Dogwood Girls have been spending lots of time on the basketball courts and took home 1st place in the talent show with an incredible performance!
Hickory Girls: The Hickory Girls have been loving the brand-new slides and are currently leading the Cleanliness Cup with their spotless bunk!
We can’t wait to see what next week brings and all the fun memories still to come!

Junior Boys
Junior Boys have been living the dream this week! It’s been another action-packed week full of adventure, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Trip Day was a huge success, with everyone enjoying the Minions and Monsters movie before heading to the bowling alley, where they showed off their strikes with plenty of snacks along the way. We also had a blast during the Magen Boys dance show, and of course making the most of all the activities down at the lake.
Beech Boys have had a fantastic week, bringing endless enthusiasm and energy to every activity. Whether they were splashing around at the lake, laughing through the cinema, or celebrating strikes at the bowling alley, they made the most of every opportunity. They had a fabulous time during the first triple crown event, Talent Show, performing so well as a team.
Cypress Boys have being having so much fun both in the bunk and at activities. They had a brilliant time on Trip Day, enjoying the movie and some friendly competition at the bowling alley. Down at the lake, they embrace every moment and are always up for a banana boat ride. They love a tribals fake and are eagerly awaiting the real break.
Dogwood Boys have had an incredible week filled with triple crown rehearsals followed by their performance. They love cooling off at the lake and jumping in whenever possible! Dogwood boys love a special event and even participated in part of the Harlem Wizards basketball last week.
We can’t wait to see what the Junior Boys get up to this week!

Middle Girls
The Middle Girls have had another amazing week at camp, and it’s been packed with fun from start to finish! One of the biggest highlights was our Middle Division trip to Howe Caverns, where the girls spent the day exploring, laughing together, and making great memories.
Back at camp, each bunk has been busy making the most of their activities. Mahogany Girls created fun cheer routines in gymnastics, Redwood Girls did a fantastic job leading this week’s Fire Circle and even made homemade pasta in the Camper Kitchen, while Sequoia Girls enjoyed an early morning horseback ride. The girls have also been competing in tennis tournaments, trying new things, and embracing every opportunity camp has to offer.
This week’s Talent Show was another highlight, with every bunk putting on an incredible performance. Redwood Girls performed their own take on The Parent Trap, Mahogany Girls brought the magic of Beauty and the Beast to the stage, Sequoia Girls put on a performance inspired by Dear Dumb Diary with skits and dancing, and Willow Girls got everyone on their feet with a dance to a Beyoncé remix. We also loved celebrating the Fourth of July together with a spectacular fireworks display to end the evening.
From big events to everyday moments around camp, this week has been full of laughter, new friendships, and unforgettable memories. The Middle Girls have truly embraced every opportunity, made the most of every moment, and continued to make this summer one to remember!

Middle Boys
Hi everyone!
It’s been a non-stop week in the 12123 and everyone is having a blast! The 4th of July was a day to remember with red, white, and blue cookies and a fantastic firework show to celebrate 250 years of the USA! Trip day this week saw the middle boys visit Howe Caverns, walking and boating through cave passageways seeing some cool rock formations (Much to Uncle Lou’s dismay). Thursday’s special event afternoon saw the return of the Magen Boys for a dance party in the playhouse, everyone was on their feet moving and grooving.
Triple crown has begun with the Talent show. Willow Boys collected members off staff in “Pokémon Go”, Redwood Boys reminded us what makes camp special in “Project Hail Schodack”. Mahogany Boys took home 3rd place with “First Day of Camp Stereotypes”, and Sequoia Boys took first place with “Camp Court”. Everyone did their best and we got some great results!
The first hockey clinics took place with a good turnout from middle boys. They had a fun time trying out some handling drills, playing some games, and laughing at me attempting to skate. Many middle boys have been taking part in overnight camping trips, the most recent at Moreau Lake State Park. Participation has been brilliant with intercamp games of basketball, baseball and soccer against Camp Winadu, Camp Echo Lake, and Camp Scatico.
Two day tribals is fast approaching with more fakes happening revealing a theme of Trolls! The heavy metal trolls have chased away the pop trolls and now at every meal we hear rock and roll. Can the metal trolls be overthrown to break tribals? I guess we’ll find out in the next few days. I’ll be back next week with more updates!

Senior Girls
Hi Senior Girls families! I am back again with some more updates!
We had an amazing Week 2, and there has been so much excitement around camp! This past Sunday was the first leg of Triple Crown, Talent Show! I was so proud of all of our senior girls for the creativity, confidence, and enthusiasm they brought to the stage.
The Senior 1 girls gave an enchanting performance inspired by Sofia the First, complete with fun costumes, a creative skit, and lots of laughs. The Senior 2 girls transformed the stage into a thrilling game of Mafia that turned into a dance with a lift that showed off impressive skills. The Senior 3 girls brought incredible energy with an exciting Dance Battle that had the audience cheering throughout their performance and fun coordinated outfits. The Senior 4 girls had an amazing time on stage performing their take on Dance Moms, with 3 separate dances that wowed the crowd.
On Tuesday, Senior camp headed out for our second Trip Day of the summer! We started on camp with a lazy morning followed by a cookout lunch before heading to the buses to leave for the day. Everyone enjoyed spending the afternoon at the mall, shopping with friends, and grabbing their favorite snacks before heading to the movie theater. The girls had the chance to see either Toy Story 5 or Minions vs. Monsters, and both movies were a huge hit! It was a fantastic day filled with lots of laughs.
Back at camp, the girls have been staying busy during activity periods. In cooking, everyone had fun making delicious penne vodka, which was definitely a crowd favorite! With the warm weather, everyone has been spending lots of time at the pool cooling off, swimming, and making the most of sunny camp days. The girls have also been challenging themselves at the rock wall, climbing higher than ever before, and pushing themselves to reach new heights on the ninja course. Over on the tennis courts, campers have been showing off their skills, improving their games, and enjoying some friendly competition with their friends.
The excitement around camp continues to build as we’ve had several Tribal fakes, keeping everyone on their toes and wondering when 2-day will finally arrive. This year the theme is Trolls and the anticipation is growing each day and the girls are loving every minute of the mystery.
Between Talent Show, Trip Day, activities, and spending time with friends, Week 2 has been full of unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to see what next week brings for our incredible Senior Girls!

Senior Boys
Wahooooooooo, WEEK 2! Camp 2026 is officially in full swing!
This week has been full of fun, excitement and HUGE camp events! Speaking of, did anyone see the QUADFATHER, parts 1, 2 and 3? This spectacular performance from the whole senior boys at the first leg of TRIPLE CROWN: the talent show, was the highlight of the week! Senior 1 boys kicked off the upper camp talent show with part 1 and managed to achieve a podium finish of 3rd, very closely behind the CIT’s and Waiter’s. I have to mention the CIT’s incredibly wholesome Barbie performance, where we found out what they were made for.
The weather has been very hot and we’ve had numerous blister days, this change in schedule was a hit for the senior boys as they enjoyed the multiple sessions in the gym and pool basketball was a big success. Then the evenings came and the rain fell, the senior boys joined together on C2 porch, singing camp favorites with the staff and me (Aaron DH).
Trip day was a big surprise, as the weather took a turn for the worst, we took all of the senior camp to crossgates mall and a movie! Some of the senior 2 boys enjoyed Star Wars: The Mandalorian whilst the other half loved the new Minions movie.
We’ve had a wholesome week for senior camp and coming to the end of the 2nd week, I can feel the boys coming out of their shells and really embracing the friendships and connections that make camp, CAMP!

LTs
The LTs have enjoyed a very content-filled week and spent their day trip at the iconic town, Saratoga Springs.
On Sunday, the LTs put on tremendous performances in the Talent Show. The Waiters with Scooby Doo Waiters and the CITs with Barbie. The voting was extremely close, and the CITs took the win with perhaps their best Talent Show of all time. The Waiters’ performance would have won in many a year, their opening dance clearly the best seen by Waiters on the hallowed stage. The LTs will be front and center on Saturday for the set-up, execution and then clean-up of the first Carnival. This is a huge event on Rookie Day where the entire camp takes part in all the fun on display.
Last Monday, the LTs had their second Challenge Day – Military Day. It looks like it’s going to be a close and hard-fought competition all the way with the Red Rockets the highlight this time. Tuesday as usual was trip day, and this saw us Ice Skating, at the movies and eating great food. Either side of that – the LTs spent a night each (boys, then girls) at the huge B and B in Stephentown, feasting on Chipotle and playing bonding games well into the night!
We look forward to Friday when Hope 7 will visit us with their local day campers and our LTs will put on a great day for them! All that and with a big all-camp event very much in everyone’s sights! What a week!

The temperatures may have cooled down this week, but the excitement certainly didn’t! With plenty of fake Tribal breaks, the suspense and anticipation continue to build for Two-Day Tribals and the reveal of this year’s theme, Trolls. After Triple Crown, it’s one of camp’s favorite traditions, and those spending their first summer at Schodack are beyond excited to see what all the hype is about.
It’s been a busy, action packed week filled with adventures, from ice hockey and white water rafting to bowling, MASS MoCA, overnight trip to state parks, a trip to the movies, and even exploring a cave for Middle Camp.
Matt’s Foodie Focus Group is back! The first discussion took place on Wednesday, giving campers the opportunity to share what they enjoy about the food and offer suggestions for the future.We also welcomed Sadie’s highly requested spin class, and Arts and Crafts began tie-dye this week, so camp will soon be full of colorful tie-dye T-shirts.
Special Event Thursday had every division on their feet as the Magen Boys returned, once again bringing plenty of dancing, energy, and fun to camp!
Ultra Leagues and Intercamps
Ultra Leagues have been taking place around camp, with basketball and soccer games during our evening activities. This week also featured the first Intercamps of the summer, making it a busy one as we welcomed Camp Winadu to Schodack for games of flag football, basketball, and soccer. Our teams played with great energy and had fantastic support from fellow campers.
On Monday, we visited Camp Scatico for 7th grade co-ed tennis. Tuesday night brought an exciting hockey game that came right down to the final 20 seconds before the opposition took the lead. Well done to all of our amazing participants for their effort and sportsmanship.
On Wednesday, the 5th, 6th, and 7th grade girls traveled to Camp Echo Lake for tennis, while the 6th grade boys competed in soccer. On Friday, the 9th and 10th grade girls visited Camp Scatico for tennis. At Camp Echo Lake, the 4th through 10th grade girls competed in a swim meet, while the boys took part in baseball and tennis.
Everyone gave it their all, and we couldn’t be prouder of our campers!
Talent Show
Triple Crown has officially begun, starting with the Talent Show on Sunday, where every bunk performed and gave it their all after practicing every chance they got. The talent we have here at Schodack is incredible, and we still have Lip Sync and Bunk Plaque to look forward to, which everyone is already talking about.
It was an incredibly difficult decision for our judges. In each division, only one bunk could come out on top. Dogwood Girls took first place in Junior Camp, while the hilarious Sequoia Boys performance earned them the top spot in Middle Camp. Upper Camp was an incredibly close contest between the Waiters and the CITs, but the Barbie-themed CIT performance took the crown. Their heartfelt performance, accompanied by beautiful piano playing and singing, even brought some audience members to tears and helped them stand out from the rest.
We know how much preparation goes into each act, from practicing and creative thinking to building the confidence to perform. Every single camper played a role from start to finish and impressed us with their humor, creativity, and energy.
